Colour Mixing
In art this afternoon, we read the story ‘Mixed’ by Arree Chung to learn about what happens to the primary colours when we mix them together.
This inspired some hand painting from the early years when children painted one hand in each of the primary colours and found they made a new colour when they clapped their hands together.
The KS1 children took inspiration from a piece of artwork showing glass bottles overlapping and mixing the colours. They used this to create their own colour mixed paintings.
