Food Hygiene in D&T
This week in D&T, we learned about the importance of hygiene and how to store food correctly. We discussed that it is imperative to wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least two minutes, wear an apron, tie back hair, wash fruit and veg and prep the surface you are working on in order to avoid nasty germs and bacteria that can lead to food poisoning.
Red kites used what they had learned whilst carefully preparing a wrap. We ensured our knives were clean, meats and cheeses were stored correctly and our work stations sanitised.
