At Glebeland Primary School we embed British Values, liberty, democracy, rule of law, tolerance and mutual respect across the curriculum, explicitly through our RSHE curriculum and through our Learning Characteristics.

Our children navigate a global, evolving society with diverse cultures. Learning about British Values provides children with a toolkit to understand themselves, their relationships with others and their place in the wider world. Learning about British Values, cultivates empathy, critical thinking, self-awareness and a sense of responsibility.

British Values is not seen as an add-on, but rather, as a ‘Golden Thread’ woven through the entire curriculum.
