Glebeland Primary School

Our School's Mission Statement

We believe that our children should experience success and be given opportunities to reach their own potential.  All success is valued and celebrated and opportunities are actively sought for each child to foster individual talents and interests.

Our curriculum is creative, continuous and skills based.  It is adapted by experienced and knowledgable staff to be personalised to our pupils' needs.  It is language rich and gives an excellent mix of academic and personal development, with equal importance given to core and foundation subjects.  Physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing are both valued, understood and prioritised by our careful consideration of curriculum design.

We carefully balance the requirement for pupils to reach national expectations in core subjects with our wider curriculum aims of providing a full spectrum of thoughtful and enriching experience.  As a result, our pupils thrive.

Our curriculum drivers are:

Initiative: - which helps pupils to grow as independent learners, not dependent on adults to learn.
Mindfulness:- which helps our pupils to concentrate, focus and to fully experience their lives.
Community:- develops a sense of belonging for our pupils and models how to make links with the wider community and take pride in our local area.
Diversity:- encourages children to develop an understanding of different cultures, religions and ethnicities and beliefs, whilest reflecting on their own backgrounds and heritage.
